Call for Concept Proposals for Multi-center Research 2018 due May 18, 2018

The Pediatric Emergency Medicine Collaborative Research Committee (PEMCRC)
of the American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Emergency Medicine is
pleased to announce a call for research proposals.

The PEM-CRC provides a framework for multi-center investigation, serving to
support and facilitate the development of useful and rigorous collaborative
research within pediatric emergency medicine. As part of this application
process, the PEM-CRC steering committee will select up to 2 proposals for this
annual award. Selected proposals will receive:

  • Access to the over 40 hospitals and emergency departments which
    comprise our network
  • Mentorship through experienced PEM academic physicians
  • In-kind access to the PEM-CRC data-center at the Baylor College of
    Medicine. Supported functions include development of data-use
    agreements, data dictionary, data aggregation and data cleaning
  • Support for the NEDARC grant-writing workshop attendance from the AAP
    Section on Emergency Medicine
  • Letter of Support for extramural grant applications

Important Due Dates:
Concept Proposal: May 18th, 2018, 5pm EST
Full Proposal: September 3, 2018, 5pm EST

***Membership to the AAP Section on Emergency Medicine is required to
be considered for this award***
